I don't know why but I always called this restaurant Apple Sauce...
We walked around Marpole area not knowing what to eat till we decided on Applause.
The restaurant was filled but one table was almost finished so we had to wait for around 10 minutes. The service was fast and attentive. We sat down, got handed us our menus and asked for our drinks. Our tea and water came fast and got refilled fast.

On the Table:
Grace and I shared the Nabeyaki Udon and the House Roll.

House Roll
The House Roll has tamago, salmon, tuna, cucumber, imitation crab, avocado and cucumber. It was a average house roll, nothing bad, nothing great.

Nabeyaki Udon

Nabeyaki Udon- It came out pipping hot when it came out! The egg was sunny side up and sadly I waited to long to break it. The tempera was yummy, the batter was thin, I had to take it out since it would get soggy in the soup, it was nicely made and crunchy. The dish was totally worth the money, it was filled with chicken and was really filling and can fill 2 girls (tho Grace also ate the House roll).

Kitty got the cucumber roll, dynamite roll and avocado roll.

dynamite roll and avocado roll.

Would we come again? Yes, but only if we were in the area, we wouldn't go out of our way to come here. The service was great, our tea and water was filled quickly and food also came not quickly but not late either, we went there during dinner time so it was a full restaurant. The sushi was average but the udon was great. If we came here again we would try out the other udons and the daily special (Faith wanted the crunch roll but we didn't get it, and we were glad we didn't get it since we were so full at then end)

First Vegan Burger!

We went out with a friend who came to visit from Langley,we were bussing to West Broadway when she said she was quite famished and since she's a vegetarian there is not a lot of options. She suggest Tera V Burger, at first Grace and I thought she said Terra Breads.....
When we first walked in it was empty, except for 2 people sitting outside the stores, I really wanted to try the smoothies but I wasn't hungry so maybe next time~
Tall Girl just walked up and ordered just like that! Grace and I took our time since we weren't as hungry. Tera V has burgers, sandwiches/paninis, wraps and salads.

On the Table:

After a while we finally decided to share a No Bull Burger combo #2 -which includes the burger, yam fries or salad, and a drink. We had the yam fries and ginger ale.
It seems like there was only one person working the counter and the back, he was quite friendly and the service was fast (he bought the food to our table) for only 1 person working.

The burger was quite yummy and if someone bought us this without tell us it was vegan we would totally thought this was a meat burger! It was well made and bit messy to eat. The yam fries were ample and a bit soggy. I (Faith) personally thought it was quite an expensive meal for a burger+fries+drink (or is it because I'm cheap?) It was around $11 for the meal tho....

The food was great but quite expensive. But the service was fast and prompt. Would we come again? only if our vegan friend wants to go again with us. If we go to Broadway ourselves, we wouldn't go there since there are tons of other, more cheaper, yummier resturants on Broadway.

This is our first time blogging about this restaurant but we have came here many times and is one of my (Faith's) favorite dim sum restaurants.

On the Table:

Steamed Rice Rolls Stuffed with Chinese Donuts

The Chinese donut wrapped in rice roll was great! The donuts was crispy and not soggy at all. One of my favorite dish in this restaurant.

Steamed Shrimp Dumplings (Haw Gow)
Another one of my favorites and I most eat at all dim sum restaurant is Steamed Shrimp Dumplings (Haw Gow), they were plump with lots of shrimp with kind of sticky and gummy skin but the skin was the right thickness. They were really big!

We forgot the name of this dumpling dish but my grandpa liked it a lot, it's one of his favorite dishes to eat at dim sum, the skin wasn't too thick and it had a crunchy texture inside, quite good.

Eggplant stuffed with shrimp
It was our first time eating and ordering Eggplant stuffed with shrimp at a dim sum even our grandparents never ate it before. I personally thought it was pretty yummy, it wasn't piping hot when it came, it was warm, the eggplant wasn't mushy or undercooked and the shrimp had a nice bounce to it. The black bean sauce didn't really enhance it but the sauce wasn't flavorless or anything, I like the sauce and it taste great with rice! but it made the shrimp a bit soggy. I like the eggplant dish, we might order it again sometime.

The last dish that we got was the Spareribs with black bean since on rice. Nothing to really say about this dish, it was a pretty average dish that taste exactly like the name. The spareribs were moist and flavorful but weren't a lot of spareribs, the rice taste really good with the sauce from the eggplant.

Flowers we saw while walking back to the car, they're very pretty and colourful!

We were happy and full with the dishes we ate. The service was good like most dim sum restaurants. The food was either yummy or average.  We would come here again if we were in the area. And go to galaxy bakery and buy their chestnut swiss roll! my favorite roll of all time, but sadly the price had went up D:
